Mag-Exchange is an online exchange-market for independent publications.
I have been involved for several years in independent publishing and I am currently a co-editor of 20×20 magazine together with Giovanna Paterno’.
Between 2004-2007, together with Helen Nodding and Becky Philp, I ran Interlude Magazine, a free-style publication for arts and writing. Interlude published four issues and was a centre of art, literature and film events.
Despite the years passed by, the magazine looks still fresh and hence the idea of starting a back issues exchange with other independent publications.
I believe there are many of us around who support independent magazines and are aware of the loving effort that goes into them, as well as the difficulty to find adequate platforms to promote them.
This is an opportunity for circulating our publications amongst people sharing the same passion, and create a library documenting a rich and inspiring underworld of printed matters!
Participate to Mag Exchange
If you are interested in taking part to the project, please send to mag_exchange[at]yahoo[dot]com:
- An image (up to 1 MB each) of the covers of the magazine you would like to submit (up to 3 back issues per magazine)
- A general description about your publication (50 words). For each issue specify theme (if there is), number of pages and year of publication.
- A name/email address where people can contact you to request a swap. You may also give a website address for your publication.
All the shortlisted publications will be displayed on this online exchange-market. Publishers can approach each other directly to arrange swaps.
